Platinum Kids was the brainchild program of the late Tamika "Carmello" Daniels. Not only did she love her Platinum Family but she also loved helping children. She dedicated her life to being and advocate for children and this was just another example of her giving back to the community.
Mission Statement:
The Platinum Kids (PK) mentoring program will be committed to helping youth (ages 5 to 17) overcome formidable challenges to be successful today and in the future. Our mentoring programs will help youth master goal setting skills and find ways to achieve them, assist youth in achieving in school, think through problems at home or at school and finding positive solutions, and making productive choices about day-to-day life in regards to behavior and consequences.
Our Vision:
We believe that true self-esteem cannot be given but must be earned through achievement. We further believed that young person can be motivated and inspired to reach their full potential as an individual, family member, and active contributor to their community. Our vision is of a community where young people bring their gift back into their community as productive members of society.
